A Week of Special Friends
Sometimes I don't realize how long it's been since I last posted. As different things happen, I always think, I should post that! But I never write it down and so many things have flown out of my memory and most likely you will not see it on here. So let's see what all I can recapture for you.
It has been a whirlwind recently with activities at the church and lots of company at the house. (I may have to get my calendar out :) We had a wonderful VBS that started off our busy streak. This year we used the Veggie Tale pirates as our theme. It was lots of fun to see everyone dressed up. We had some special friends with us during that time. (Two families actually) Shawn and Donna Bupp and their three beautiful girls are missionaries with Harvest Aviation. (http://www.harvestaviation.org/) They are a wonderful family and the Lord allowed us to share our home with them during that week. It was a refreshing time and we enjoyed getting to know them better. During this time we also had some friends from Kentucky, John and Karen Nealis, come for a visit. Yes, we had quite a house full and loved every minute of it!! There was lots of laughter and joy that week and we are very thankful to the Lord for his timing and provision. Our VBS went very well and we had a very large attendence that week. Praise the Lord!! We took a small retreat one day during the VBS week and went to the Asheboro Zoo with the Nealis's, Donna and the girls, and Isaac and me. Do not fear, this turtle wasn't real :) We all had a good time and made it back just in time for VBS that night. Needless to say we were all exhausted that night and ready when bedtime rolled around.
