The past few weeks have been a blur of ministry related activities. We had our annual district conference the end of April. We Praise the Lord for how smoothly the business meetings went.
We got done in record time and had wonderful services. It was good to get to meet up with fellow pastors and pastor's wives for a time of encouragement and "catching up". We had 4 others from our church that went and we all enjoyed a leisurely Thursday sightseeing in Asheville before we headed home. We had the opportunity to stop at the historical Grove Park Inn and took a self-guided tour and then ate a leisurely lunch on the terrace. The inn was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. Isaac has been a real trooper these past few weeks. Even with all the activity and travel we had still for the most part been able to keep with his routine. In the above picture he is sleeping in Grandpa's arms. I couldn't resist taking this picture. He also got to meet his great grandma for the first time. I think it was love at first sight for both of them. I was able to spend the night at mom and dad's for a longer visit with grandma. The next morning Isaac was wide awake and I asked him if he wanted to go see his great grandma. His little face just little up with a smile and he answered with his little coo's. Someone's already learning how to get an extra piece of apple pie. This past week Aaron preached revival services at Welker's Crossroad EMC in Julian NC. The services were scheduled for Sun thru Wed but were extended until Sat. It was a great time of encouragement and the Lord touched that congregation in a special way. Saturday we took the youth from our church to Mt Sinai EMC in Statesville for their annual youth rally. The girls had a great time and slept all the way home. They are ready for senior camp come June. Aaron and I have a real burden for our youth and seeing them discipled. Our church is praying for a youth pastor to help disciple them and lead them in having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We have a wonderful group and are praying for them continually. In this pic the girls were coming down the blow up slide together and kind of got piled up at the bottom. I am amazed at how much out little guy is growing! Even though I am with him 24/7 I can still see this miracle take place. The Lord has been so gracious to us and I am constantly thanking Him for the blessing He has given us in Isaac. Even when I seem to have a rough time adjusting to mommyhood, the Lord surrounds me and I am overwhelmed at how precious our little boy is. He is truly a gift. He is becoming more alert each day and more responsive to us as we talk and play with him. He loves his swing and has now within the past few weeks started staring intently at the mobile whenever we turn it on. It is so fun to watch him explore his surroundings. Last week we had one of our hottest days this season. We were trying to conserve energy and not turn the air on in the house, so little guy was chilling out in his diaper. We looks quite cool and comfortable.

Up until last week, Isaac would almost immediately fall asleep as soon as Aaron would put the car into drive. It's been fun seeing him awake and watching him gaze out the window as we are riding in the car. He is a good little traveler, which is a good thing for us since we are always on the go!

Aaron said after having Isaac home that first week that being a daddy was more exhausting than seminary. hehe

Being a parent is the most amazing things in the world.

It is amazing how quickly the months have flown by. Alot has happened in the Withrow household in such a short amount of time. Little baby boy is growing like a little weed right now and my belly is showing it! We're getting ready to enter into the last trimester and looking forward to when he gets here. The Lord named His child this past week which was a very aweseome time. The name came to Aaron as we were browsing around a store. On the way home Aaron told me the Lord had told him a name and he wanted me to pray about it and I would have one guess. It was 9:28 in the evening and I had until 9:30. Well, as I sat there praying, one name came to mind, a first and middle name, one that we had never put together. When my two minutes were up, I told him the only name on my mind, and that was it! So everyone will find out in three months when he is born what the Lord named him.
In other exciting news, we are in the process of buying a house. I am amazed at the Lord's blessing and provision, especially when things are only possible through Him. He has blessed us with the cutest little home to which we are extremely grateful. Closing is scheduled for the 29th of November. Which means moving in before Christmas. We are in awe of the Lord working in our lives and desire for this home to be a used as a tool to bring Him glory.
The Lord is doing amazing things in our lives personally and in the life of Reidsville Evangelial Methodist.

So we have now entered the world of blogging. We thought it would be a good idea with our immediate family growing to use this tool as a way to keep all of our family and friends updated on how we are doing, how the little one is growing, and sharing how the Lord is working in our lives. As time permits we hope to keep this updated with photoes and thoughts (especially after the baby is born) so there is something new to look at every once in a while.
